My work blurs the line between fine art, illustration & design— I think labels are boring.
Drawing, painting & playing with vectors all have their place in my creative practice. It’s next to impossible to have only one inspiration—Muses are all around us.
I’m interested in how color can carry a memory or feeling without having to name it. Like how a certain smell or song can bring you back to a specific time & place. This feeling is often unexplainable & nostalgic. My use of color is usually less of a decision & more of a response to emotions— it’s how I tell stories & is profoundly visceral.
Mood, music, & my visual observations influence my approach & the gestural architecture of a painting. Further building from my conscious mind, my process deepens by way of studying composition & making choices.
